The Sask Leafcutters Association 2012 Saskatchewan Alfalfa Seed & Leafcutter Bee Conference is set to begin on Thursday evening, January 12th and will continue all day Friday, January 13th at the Radisson Hotel in Saskatoon. Rooms have been set aside for the Sask Leafcutters Association 2012 conference at a special rate of $134.00 (Queen room) - this room rate includes parking. Room reservations should be made by December 30th, 2011 - please request the room rate for the Saskatchewan Alfalfa Seed Producers. Trade-show displays will be set up during the afternoon of Thursday, January 12. The Sask Leafcutters Association 2012 Conference registration table will open at 7:00 pm., followed by a wine & cheese reception which will begin at 7:30 pm. The Sask Leafcutters Association Conference will continue on Friday, January 13, with a full day of presentations and the Sask Leafcutters Association 40th annual business meeting.
Highlights of the Sask Leafcutters Association 2012 Saskatchewan Alfalfa Seed & Leafcutter Bee Conference will include presentations on North American alfalfa seed production and markets, beneficial insects and insect pest control in alfalfa seed production, alfalfa leafcutter bee management, weed control issues in alfalfa seed production, soil fertility management in a forage rotation, and other presentations of interest to alfalfa seed & alfalfa leafcutter bee producers.
